Sinclair is a self-taught, abstract artist from Chicago, IL. His artistic journey began starting drawing multiple faces using one line, to express the idea that people are all connected. The artist’s style has evolved since then, but he’s still inspired by the many ways in which people are connected to each other. His goal is to express what connects human beings: the emotions and experiences everyone share, in a form that everyone can relate to. This goal is at the foundation of the artist’s work, who, although being colorblind, is not afraid to use color: in fact, he combines bold colors, geometric shapes, and fine lines to simplify the complex nature of life. Whether painting, drawing or working with animation, Sinclair is constantly experimenting with finding new and better ways to express himself.
The way he creates art depends on the idea that he’s trying to communicate; examples are portraits created out of cubes and other 3D objects, in order to show how people objectify others. Every aspect of his work holds meaning. Sometimes his work is simple, sometimes it is complex, but no matter what: Sinclair’s art is always deeper than what meets the eye.
