Thomas Stokes III’s figurative works explore the psychological states of his subjects, with gestural forms and often fused or fragmented faces. With his background in both digital and traditional painting, Thomas Stokes III has recently begun intersecting the mediums through his use of animation and augmented reality, bringing his traditional paintings to life with movement and soundscapes. His first museum exhibition was in 2019-2020, at The McNay Art Museum.
